SPRING SOCCER REGISTRATION HAS

General Information: Every spring, CYSC organizes boys and girls soccer
teams to participate in the Vermont Soccer Association Spring soccer
league. Teams from Colchester play home and away games against teams from
other towns in Vermont in a more competitive league than in the Fall "Rec"
league.
We submit a number of teams at the U8 level, U10, U12 and depending on sign-ups, a U14 team.
Fee is $85/player. There is a discount for multiple players within a family who sign up.
Registration includes our custom bright green uniform with shorts and socks.
As per our new rules for Fall Rec soccer, there are no goalies at the U8 level state-wide.
If your child is 6 years old and up, they are eligible to play. Boys and girls who can control the ball,
understand the rules of soccer, have a grasp of offense and defense, and playing on a team will
enjoy the competitive spirit and will progress as players by playing in our Spring program.
PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADERS:
Please keep in mind...if your child is still 'exploring' soccer and how to play the game, you might
want to get them into a winter soccer training program to further assess if they are ready to play
in a more competitive league. We encourage you to get them out there for our Fall Rec program in 2012,
help them gain confidence and skills, then play in our more competitive program in 2013.
We enter teams at the DII and DIII level. We do not enter teams at DI which is much more
competitive. Most other town clubs like ours, state-wide, enter teams in similar fashion.
REGISTRATION IS DONE BY USING THE SAME GOT SOCCER SYSTEM
WE USE FOR FALL REGISTRATION.
If your child is new to Colchester Soccer, then you will create a new
username/password combo.
